Secretary Forest inaugurates wildlife enclosures

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Secretary on Climate Change, Forestry, Environment and Wildlife Shahid Zaman has along-with the Deputy Commissioner Kohat Abdul Akram Chitrali and other Senior Officers of his Departments visited Darmalak area of Kohat where he formally inaugurated the newly constructed wildlife enclosures in the private game reserve.
The said project was made possible with the complete support of the district administration which highlights the commitment to conservation and management of wildlife.
Later, he also visited Darmalak Reservoir where he reviewed the upcoming spring plantation drive. He also discussed the strategies to enhance local biodiversity through reforestation planning efforts.
On this occasion, issues of promoting Eco-Tourism in the area were also discussed which aims to promote environmental stability.
Furthermore, the authorities have finalized the major Indigenous Seeds Distribution Project with a target of around 6,500 Kg.
On this occasion, the outline of the strategy of spreading the seeds for the enrichment of local flora was also presented.
He was told that 15000 seed balls will be distributed in the hilly area of ​​about 3000 hectares by helicopter.
This innovative approach aims not only to improve the landscape but also to enhance ecological balance and promote wildlife in the region.
