Sector Commander South) along with Deputy Commissioner Tank made an emergency visit to the areas affected by the recent heavy rains.
During visit, they expressed determination to take practical steps for the immediate restoration of affected communication roads and bridges due to the heavy rains that started last night in Tank.
Due to this, many areas of the Tank District have been affected and many areas have been cut off.
To assess the damages and other relief operations in the affected areas, Sector Commander South Brigadier Sohail Bajwa and Deputy Commissioner Tank Shoaib Khan along with DPO Waqar Ahmed and Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Umar, they made emergency visits to village Bara khel, village Kot Alla Dad, Bypass and village Abizar.
Sector Commander South Brigadier Sohail Bajwa reiterated his commitment to speed up the relief work by means of heavy machinery for the immediate restoration of bridges and roads so that the areas which have been cut off be restored.
The administration will stand by the side and to deal with any emergency, FC South will provide full support to the district administration so that the sufferings of the citizens reduced, he added.
On this occasion, the Sector Commander also distributed relief goods to the affected people.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Tank Shoaib Khan said that the district administration is using all its available resources to speed up the relief work in the rain-affected areas and soon the communication bridges and roads of the affected areas will be reopened for the traffic of citizens.
