Security forces kill 2 khwarij of Fitna Al Khawarij

Security forces have killed 2 khwarij of Fitna Al Khawarij during an intelligence based operation in Bannu.
Two khwarij belonged to Indian sponsored Fitna Al Khawarij.
According to ISPR, Security forces carried out intelligence based operation in district Bannu on April 19, 2026 on information about presence Khawarij in district Bannu. 2 khwarij of Fitna Al Khawarij were killed during exchange of fire. Those killed included Kharji Ring leader Waheedullah alias Muktiar along with a suicide bomber. A suicide jacket, weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the khwarij.
Kharji Ring leader Waheedullah was amongst the most wanted terrorists for his active involvement in numerous terrorist activities including Shahadat of security forces’ personnel and innocent civilians. He was also main handler of a suicide bomber in Bannu District on 21 February this year, resulting into Shahadat of Lieutenant Colonel Gul Faraz Shaheed.
The ISPR in its statement said that operation has indeed avenged the heinous act and has brought the main perpetrator to justice. Timely action of security forces also averted a major catastrophe.
Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored Kharji in the area.
President, PM commend security forces for successful operation against Fitna Al Khwarij in Bannu
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have commended security forces for a successful intelligence-based operation against Fitna Al Khwarij in Bannu.
In their statements, they said the killing of Khawarij ring leader and the suicide attacker reflects the professional skills and bravery of the security forces:
Asif Ali Zardari said at a time when Pakistan is dedicating all its efforts to regional and global peace, our enemies seek to undermine these efforts through terrorism. He said we will thwart these anti-peace and anti-Islam conspiracies. The President reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to eliminate the menace of terrorism.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm commitment to wipe out terrorism from the country.
