Secretary/Chief Administrator Auqaf Punjab Dr. Ehsan Bhutta has said that serving humanity and facilitating the needy during the holy month of Ramadan is a noble act that reflects the true spirit of Islam. He expressed these views while addressing an Iftar gathering arranged by Allah Walay Foundation at Johar Town here yesterday.
The management of Allah Walay Foundation including Chairman Shahid Lone, General Secretary Pervaiz Mughal, Country Head Rana Hassan Afzal, renowned businessman Darshan Singh, and President & Muhtamin-e-A’la of Idara Minhaj-ul-Hussain Muhammad Sibtain Akbar, along with others, were present on the occasion.
Dr. Ehsan Bhutta appreciated the remarkable welfare initiative of distributing nearly one hundred thousand daily Dastarkhwans/Iftaars in Islamabad, Gulberg, Johar Town and other areas of Lahore through state-of-the-art kitchens and well-organized Langar Khanas.
He praised the modern kitchen system established by Allah Walay Foundation and also highlighted their innovative water-saving mechanism for ablution (wazoo).
Dr. Bhutta said that the Auqaf Department Punjab is keen to modernize kitchens and langar arrangements at shrines across the province, especially at major shrines, and such best practices can help improve efficiency while conserving water and other resources.
The Secretary Auqaf further informed that the Administrator of Data Darbar, along with his team, will visit the kitchens of Allah Walay Foundation in the first phase to review the state-of-the-art facilities and water-saving system.
The purpose of the visit is to learn from their experience and explore possibilities of cooperation so that similar modern systems may initially be introduced at Data Darbar and later replicated in mosques and shrines managed by the Auqaf Department across Punjab.
