Police on Saturday arrested seven persons with arms in an operation in the limits of Police Station Khazana.
According to SHO Aizaz Alam Khan, seven persons have been arrested during an operation, adding that the arrested suspects were possessing illegal arms.
The arrested persons have been identified as Asfandyar Ibrar, Irfan, Usman, Umar, Muhammad Ali and Mansoor residents of suburbs of the provincial metropolis.
Police during the preliminary investigation revealed that the accused were allegedly involved in possessing illegal weapons and other crimes.
During the operation, police have also recovered two Kalashnikovs, one M4 rifle, four pistols, several magazines and hundreds of different bore cartridges from their possessions.
Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects and investigation has been launched, said SHO Khazana.
