Shell explosion kills four Children, injures five in Bajaur

A devastating incident in Laghari area of Loi Mamund tehsil, Bajaur, resulted in deaths of four children and critical injuries to five others on Saturday, following an alleged shell explosion.
The victims were reportedly playing in a field in Laghari Mamond village when the shell exploded. Local sources confirm the shell landed in play area, though it remains unclear which side fired the ordnance.
The deceased have been identified as 18-year-old Fawad, Jawad, 10-year-old Sajjad, and 18-year-old Naushad.
The five injured children were immediately transported to the District Headquarters Hospital in Khar. Doctors have expressed grave concern over their condition, noting they are all reported to be in critical condition.
Following the tragedy, police contingents promptly arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. Simultaneously, the Deputy Commissioner and other district administration officials visited hospital to inquire about injured children and offer support to the affected families.
