The newly posted Station House Officer (SHO) police station, Landi Kotal said that an operation will be conducted to curtain narcotic smuggling in the area.
Speaking to the local journalist in Landi Kotal press club, district Khyber on Thursday the newly appointed SHO Adnan Afridi said that although unfavorable conditions prevailed but the police force was competent enough to tackle any anti-social element.
He maintained that being a bordering locality, tehsil Landi Kotal was a paradise for narcotics peddlers but he was determined to curtail all kinds of narcotics businesses and make Landi Kotal free of the curse.
Appreciating the role of the media, he added that the journalists’ were the eyes and ears of the society therefore they should utilize their energies for highlighting problems of laymen.
On a query, the police officer maintained that transfer and posting was the routine business of the district police department, however under his supervision no injustice would be done to an innocent one.
