A police team led by DSP Cantt Haroon Jadoon seized illegal weapons from the different shops of Nothia Bazaar and arrested two accused,said a handout issued by police here on Sunday.
The operation was conducted by SHO Gulbarg police station Abdul Aziz and SHO Sharqi police station Muhammad Asif Khan on tip-off. The arrested shopkeepers have been identified as Taimur and Abdullah resident of Kotla Mohsin Khan area of Nothia.
During the important operations, 82 pistols, 57 bore rifles, several different bore rifles and thousands of different bore cartridges and dozens of magazines have been recovered among the illegal weapons. During the initial investigation, police said that the arrested persons have confessed to the illegal business of arms.
Police said that cases have been registered and further investigation has been launched.
