Police on Saturday arrested six gamblers and recovered Rs53,000 stake money and paraphernalia from their possessions in the limits of Kotwali Police Station.
On a tip-off, the police conducted a raid and rounded up six persons for gambling. The arrested persons have been identified as Shahyar, Afaq, Iftikhar, Jameel, Zahid Riaz, Shah Noor. The arrested persons belong to different areas of Peshawar city.
During the preliminary investigation, the arrested suspects have confessed to gambling, from their possession, 53,000 rupees in cash and gambling equipment have also been recovered.
