Skills and social service alongside education are the need of the hour: Fawad Ahmed

On the successful completion of the first phase of a three-month Skill Phase Program launched to enhance the technical and professional capabilities of youth through the joint efforts of the District Youth Office Mardan and the non-governmental organization Human Care Foundation, a dignified ceremony was held today at the Reading Club Mardan.
The chief guests of the ceremony were Fawad Ahmed of Human Care Foundation and Principal of Government Postgraduate College Takht Bhai, Muhammad Abrar, who shed detailed light on the importance of skill development among youth.
During the event, Bisma Sami, Account Officer at Jaaidad.com, was awarded a special certificate for successfully completing a three-month editing course.
While addressing the gathering, Principal Muhammad Abrar stated that in the present era no society can progress without skills.
He said that nearly 65 percent of Pakistan’s population comprises youth, and if this strength is utilized in a positive direction and provided with skills according to modern requirements, the country can move rapidly toward development. He further added that today’s youth are the future of tomorrow, therefore it is essential for educational institutions and welfare organizations to work together and take practical steps to empower young people.
Addressing the ceremony, Head of the Organizing Committee of Human Care Foundation, Fawad Ahmed, said that the basic objective of Human Care Foundation is to make youth not only degree holders but also skilled professionals.
He emphasized that a person is incomplete without skills, and in today’s world employment opportunities are available to those who possess some form of technical expertise.
He added that the organization is providing practical training to make youth self-reliant so that they can create employment opportunities not only for themselves but also for others in society. He urged students to apply the skills they have learned in practical life and to adopt hard work and perseverance instead of despair.
Former Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of Human Care Foundation, Muhammad Murtaza, in his address said that social work is the responsibility of every conscious citizen. He stressed that along with education, participation in welfare activities is essential to produce not only educated individuals but also good and responsible human beings.
Director Mardan, Ayesha Imtiaz, in her speech said that for the past four years, Human Care Foundation has been providing free courses to youth and students in leadership, IT, English language, social media, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and other modern disciplines. She added that the organization is also actively involved in various welfare activities to support underprivileged segments of society.
At the end of the ceremony, the chief guests distributed certificates and shields among the students who had completed the course, while participants termed such events as encouraging and highly beneficial for youth.
