PESHAWAR: In a major breakthrough, the Bhanah Mari police arrested a suspect identified as Muhammad Bilal, a resident of Gujranwala, Punjab, while attempting to smuggle 4,435 grams of charas (cannabis) in a car on Ringe Road. According to the police, the suspect was apprehended following a tip-off, and a hidden compartment in the vehicle was discovered during the search. A case has been registered against the accused, and further investigation is underway. The Capital City Police have intensified their crackdown on narcotics and other criminal elements in the district, as directed by senior officials.
