KARACHI: The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Pakistan (IEEEP) Karachi Centre, in collaboration with Badar Expo Solutions, held the soft launch of the 15th edition of the IEEEP Fair 2026 at local hotel. Chief Guest Mr. Saquib Fayyaz Magoon, Senior Vice President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), highlighted the significance of the event, emphasizing the need for Pakistan to reduce its reliance on imported technology and focus on local innovation and manufacturing. Mr. Saquib praised the organizers’ efforts in bridging the gap between engineering talent and industrial growth, stating that the event aligns with FPCCI’s vision of technology-driven industrial development. Mr. Shahab Qamar Ansari, Secretary Energy, Sindh, the special guest of honor, expressed his gratitude to the organizers for hosting a meaningful event aimed at addressing the country’s energy challenges. He highlighted the immense energy corridors available in province of Sindh and added that the Energy Department is committed to supporting participants of the IEEEP Fair and the Institution.
Speaking at the soft launch ceremony, Engr. Muhammad Navid Akram Ansari the Chairman IEEEP Karachi center highlighted the fair’s significance as the country’s largest and most prestigious exhibition dedicated to electrical, electronics, and allied engineering products, technologies, and solutions.
The fair is expected to bring together more than 200 local and international exhibitors, showcasing cutting-edge technologies in the electrical, electronics, renewable energy, and allied engineering sectors.
He further stated that the 15th edition will also mark the launch of the “Made in Pakistan Excellence Awards,” recognizing firms in the sector that manufacture and export products made in Pakistan — an initiative aimed at encouraging Pakistani manufacturers to raise standards and enhance the global reputation of Pakistani-made products.
Earlier, Mr. Zohair Naseer, Chief Executive Officer of Badar Expo Solutions, welcomed dignitaries, exhibitors, and media representatives, highlighting the fair’s role in connecting local manufacturers with buyers, promoting innovation, and showcasing Pakistan’s industrial capabilities.
The soft launch ceremony was also attended by esteemed guests, including Mr. Arif Lakhani, Vice President of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Engr Khalid Pervaiz, Consultant Engineer and diplomats from the USA and the Russian Federation, alongside a large media presence.
The main IEEEP Fair 2026 will take place from 18th–20th August, 2026, at the Karachi Expo Centre.
