A high-level official delegation from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Republic of Uzbekistan, visited the Head Office of Habib Rafiq Engineering Private Limited in Lahore to explore opportunities for institutional collaboration, investment, and development across multiple strategic sectors. The delegation was hosted by Mr. Zahid Rafiq, Chairman of Habib Rafiq Engineering Private Limited, together with the Company’s senior leadership.
The official delegation was headed by Farkhod Ermanov, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, accompanied by His Exellency Alisher Tukhtaev, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Pakistan.
The delegation comprised senior officials responsible for investment promotion, project implementation, industry and trade, foreign investment, infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture, food cultivation and processing, storage systems, cotton and grain production, pharmaceuticals, livestock, textiles, licorice root cultivation, meat exports, and other priority sectors of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
During the meeting, Habib Rafiq Engineering Private Limited presented its institutional profile, outlining more than seven decades of engineering and development experience built across three generations.
The briefing highlighted the Company’s integrated capabilities in engineering, infrastructure development, urban development, industrial projects, real estate, energy, and project execution. The delegation was also briefed on the Company’s ongoing projects, future development pipeline, and expanding engagement in regional and international markets.
Discussions focused on identifying areas of mutual cooperation where the Government of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Habib Rafiq Engineering Private Limited could collaborate in supporting economic development, infrastructure expansion, industrial growth, and investment facilitation.
The exchange also explored opportunities for technical collaboration and knowledge sharing in sectors identified as priorities by the visiting delegation.
Members of the delegation acknowledged the institutional capacity, technical capabilities, and project execution experience of Habib Rafiq Engineering Private Limited, expressing their confidence in the Company’s ability to undertake complex development initiatives.
The delegation extended a formal invitation to Habib Rafiq Engineering Private Limited to visit the Republic of Karakalpakstan to explore potential partnerships and evaluate opportunities for collaboration with the Government across multiple development sectors.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Mr. Zahid Rafiq reaffirmed Habib Rafiq Engineering Private Limited’s commitment to building long-term partnerships that contribute to sustainable economic growth and regional development.
He noted that collaboration between governments and experienced private-sector institutions creates new avenues for investment, technology transfer, and infrastructure development, strengthening economic ties between nations.
