A three days long colourful Sports and Culture fair under the auspices of Directorate of Sports and Culture and the political administration was inaugurated in Jamrud Sports Complex on Friday.
Inspector General Frontier Corp (FC) Major General Mazhar Shaheen Mehmood was the chief guest on the occasion.
Secretary Administration & Infra-structure Coordination Mian Muhammad, Political Agent Khyber Agency, Khalid Mehmood, Director Sports, FATA Muhammad Nawaz, large numbers of tribal elders, members of the civic society were among the participants.
Players of numbers of teams from different agencies and frontier regions, dressed in multi-coloured sports kits passed in front of dais.
The FATA teams would compete in games of Cricket, Football, and Volleyball. Jeep rally and initiating poetry reciting would also be part of the fair,the organizers said.
School children exhibited impressive PT and gymnastic shows that were applauded by the audience.
In addition,children presented dresses show and highlighted different culture of the tribal belt. Numerous stalls were also decorated with traditional items that attracted large numbers of people and it will continue from 14th to 16th of the current month.
