Spurious eye drops, banned syringes seized in Peshawar

The officials of drug control authority raided a private goods transport company in the provincial capital and seized large contraband of banned conventional syringes and suspected spurious eye drops.
The raid was conducted by directorate general drug control and pharmacy services on the basis of secret information, said a statement.
It said that all the stock was taken into custody and samples were drawn from the seized stock for forensic analysis.
The officials said that cases were registered against the accused and the company and investigation has been launched under the Drug Act 1976.
They said that raid was conducted on a transport good company located on the Ring Road and seized banned/deregistered conventional syringes 3cc/5cc purportedly manufactured by M/s Taj Syringes Gadoon Swabi amounting 5 millions.
