Mayor of Peshawar Haji Zubair Ali has said that they were working with the concerned agencies for the treatment of drug addicts and legal action against the elements involved in its sale. , Five boreholes for clean drinking water in Achar kalay will be done within a week, Sheikhan Bridge has also been approved.
These views were expressed by the Mayor of Peshawar Haji Zubair Ali while addressing an open forum held at Achar Kalay yesterday. The open meeting was organized by Noor Khan, chairman of the achar kalay area, Maulana Amjad Hussain Malik Nowshad, president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam PK-79 and other area leaders.
A large number of locals were there in gathering including arbab Farooq from wapda, officials of Sui Gas and WSSP, district government and police officers, former town members Habib Shah and Allah Dad Khan.
In an open forum, the residents of Achar kalay raised their grievances regarding gas, electricity, clean drinking water and other drugs in the area, especially ice drugs, and demanded that immediate action be taken against them.
Speaking on the occasion, the Mayor of Peshawar said that the people of Peshawar are trying their best to fulfill the trust placed in them. He said that it was his duty to serve the people and take practical steps to solve their problems. “I consider it an honor to serve the people and the region,” he said.
The Mayor of Peshawar directed the concerned officers present on the spot to take immediate action on the issues of electricity, gas and faulty sanitation facing the people in the said Bala area. Urged to take immediate action together.
He said that on the recommendation of the people of the area concerned, instead of two boreholes of clean drinking water, five boreholes a week would be provided for which the people thanked him and said that this was the first time that such a large number of people were responsible. The officers were brought to their area so that their voices could reach the officers directly.
Former District Nazim and Senator Haji Ghulam Ali also addressed the open forum and said that just as big projects for the construction and development of Peshawar were implemented during his tenure, so also the current Mayor of Peshawar Zubair Ali served the people. I will always be in the forefront.
