Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Minister Faisal Khan Tarakai has announced a series of measures to address the province’s ongoing shortage of teachers and to modernize the education system through technology and international partnerships.

To enhance the quality of teaching, Tarakai emphasized that the Education Management Information System (EMIS) was being used to collect comprehensive data on teacher availability and deployment. This, he said, will help in efficient resource planning and transparency.
In a significant development, the minister shared that an agreement has been finalized with Cambridge University to train newly recruited ETA teachers. *“This collaboration will improve the quality of teaching by providing internationally recognized training to our educators,”* he said.
Highlighting the government’s focus on digital education, Minister Tarakai said that initiatives such as digital learning platforms and e-books are being expanded. He added that the flagship *Education Card* program will integrate additional educational facilities for students.

The minister assured that planning for these initiatives is in the final stages and that the government is committed to revolutionizing education in KP.
