Steps afoot to promote startups, empower freelancers, says Dr Shafqat

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Science and Information Technology, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz, visited the National Incubation Center (NIC) Peshawar where he attended the “Peshawar Meetup” alongside senior lawyer Taimur Malik, NIC administration, and technology experts.
During the visit, Dr. Ayaz held an interactive session with young freelancers and tech enthusiasts, highlighting the provincial government’s ongoing initiatives and future plans to boost the IT sector, promote startups, and empower freelancers.
He responded to questions from participants and encouraged the youth by outlining how KP was implementing policy-level reforms aimed at integrating local talent into the global digital economy.
The event underscored the government’s commitment to strengthening the IT ecosystem in the province and marked a significant step in channeling the energy and potential of the youth toward practical, market-driven outcomes.
