A matriculation student and his uncle were shot dead over a minor disagreement in a tragic incident in the Thal Lontor area of Kumrat, Lower Dir.
The incident occurred after a minor quarrel between two parties just two days ago, which had seemingly been resolved. However, tensions flared up again, leading to the fatal shooting. The deceased student was in the 10th grade. Additionally, two others were injured in the attack.
This follows another violent incident in Nowshera, where three people were killed, and three others injured in a shooting in the Anzray area of Nizampur just the day before.
In a separate incident, an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) from the Baka Khel police station in Bannu was also kidnapped by armed men yesterday.
