ISLAMABAD: Election Commission (EC) has discharged Deputy Speaker (DS) KP assembly from concealment of assets case being the petition not contested by the petitioner. The petition came up for hearing against DS KP assembly Surriya Bibi Wednesday. A 4-member bench of EC led by member Sindh Nisar Durrani heard the case Wednesday. Counsel Mohib Ullah said one unknown person filed petition against DS KP assembly for concealing her assets. The data of the unknown petitioner neither came from NADRA nor from some other source. The unknown petitioner is non existent. The petitioner also did not appear in the EC during the hearing. ‘ Upon it EC discharged DS KP assembly being the case not persuaded. Online
