Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Arshad Ayub Khan has said that the proposed Teachers Licensing Regime in the province should be aligned with international standards, stressing that a transparent and effective teacher certification system is essential for improving the quality of education and modernizing teaching and learning practices.
The minister expressed these views while addressing a Policy Round Table Conference on Teachers Licensing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa held at the Directorate of Curriculum and Teachers Education (DCTE), Abbottabad.
The conference brought together education experts, policymakers, and representatives of key educational institutions to discuss reforms aimed at strengthening the teaching profession.
Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education Muhammad Khalid, Managing Director Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Foundation Qaiser Alam, Director Elementary and Secondary Education, Director DCTE, and representatives of B-TEG and the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) also attended the event.
