Provincial General Secretary of the central organization Tajran and President Mardan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Zahir Shah said that the Sarhad Business Alliance has proved that it is business-friendly by rejecting the federal budget and has exercised its right to business representation in the true sense.
The representatives of all the business groups of the province put aside their personal differences and united in the name of Sarhad Business Alliance for the businessmen of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa.
At this time, to run the wheel of the country, the problems of the traders need to be solved on priority. Most of the industries in the country are already closed, business is almost non-existent the tax burden on the business people in the budget from above has done the trick, which will create a storm of inflation and the businesses which were already on ventilator be completely demolished.
He said that the government followed the IMF’s strict conditions and presented the budget, which has increased tax rates as well as many new taxes. The Mardan Chamber and business community will not accept any increase in taxes in the federal budget and will not allow them to take effect and every step will be taken against them under a coordinated strategy.
He said that the main objective of the budget year 2024-25 has further ruined and threatened the country’s economy, business, trade and industries.
