Two-day conference on energy held in KUM

Kohisar University of Murree (KUM) in collaboration with Government College Faisalabad University organised a two-day Energy conference.
In a statement, the conference was attended by experts on energy from China, Turkey, United Kingdom and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and from across Pakistan.
The speakers shed light over the various approaches for alternate/ renewable energy and developing smart photovoltaic cells and cost-effective materials, smart devices.
The Vice-Chancellor of the KUM discussed GreenHouse Gasses emissions, global warming and bringing the perspective of clean energy to cut down emissions due to fossil fuels in the country.
Pakistan, like many other countries, has committed to use energy mix upto 30 percent by 2030 and advanced technologies certainly are required to address these challenges.
Besides large scale industrial processes as well, agricultural operations are energy intensive and require cheap alternate energy to sustain the country’s growing needs and produce export quality products at low cost to be relevant in the international market.
