Three-storey plaza demolished in Faridabad

PESHAWAR: The anti-encroachment authorities demolished a three-storey plaza built on government land in Faridabad area of the provincial capital during a major ongoing operation. Deputy Commissioner Captain (R) Sanaullah Khan on Thursday informed that one kanal of government land has been retrieved from the land-grabbing mafia. He added that during the operation, a three-storey plaza and 22 shops constructed illegally on state property were demolished. The Deputy Commissioner further revealed that the market value of the recovered land is more than Rs. 100 million (10 crore). The operation was carried out under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Muhammad Dawood Saleemi, with the participation of administrative officers, officials from the Capital Metropolitan Government, Civil Defence, WSSP and other relevant departments. Authorities said that similar operations will soon be conducted in other areas and the campaign will continue until all encroachments are removed. APP
