Timely election vital for economic and political stability: Faiq

Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) chairman Muhammad Faiq Shah said timely elections are imperative to bring political and economic stability in the country.
The interim government and Election Commission of Pakistan should pitch a ground for a favorable environment for all political parties and hold free and fair elections which can only be possible by reforms initiatives, he asserted.
He said the mystery was created after the statement of the caretaker prime minister so such remarks would cause delay in election conduct of the elections.
Shah in a statement issued here on Tuesday severely criticized the caretaker government for increasing the gas tariff up 172 percent for domestic consumers, calling it a complete injustice with inflation-stricken people, which should withdraw immediately.
The ATP chief called for revamping of state institutions to ensure their credibility for desired results and economic revival.
He stressed the need of eliminating nepotism and favoritism as meritless policies have brought all institutions on verge of destruction amid severe financial fallout.
Earlier, speaking at a convention on ‘Globe Peace and Palestine on Tuesday, Shah said world powers and the U.N should take a clear and strong stance on the issue of Palestine and Kashmir.
The party leader expressed fear that the world and global institutions won’t work for peace building that will give birth to a major human catastrophe.
He continued to say that Muslim world didn’t learn the lesson from cruelty and barbarism, and inhuman behavior that were treated with people of Palestine, Kashmir, Syria and Iraq.
The ATP chief emphasized that Muslim world should ensure education, latest technology and economic justice so that no power in the world will be able to damage them.
Faiq called upon Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, Egypt and Pakistan to play a role for peace building. He asked the Muslim to become stronger in education and technology, saying that this progress is essential to combat in future.
He once again said repatriation of Afghan citizens in a dignified manner.
