A prize distribution ceremony was held at Traffic Headquarters here on Wednesday.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Qamar Hayat Khan distributed cash rewards and commendation certificates among traffic policemen for their excellence performance.
The CTO Qamar Hayat Khan said that accountability of the policemen will continue and strict action would be taken showing negligence.
He appreciated the performance of the traffic staff and said that the officers and personnel of City Traffic Police Peshawar performed their duties by following the policy of first ‘Salam then Kalam’ and to ensure the implementation of traffic rules.
Mr Khan furthered that all the officers and officials should play their role with full effort to raise awareness about traffic flow and road safety among the citizens.
In the same way, those who show better performance will be encouraged, while disciplinary action will be taken against those who are negligent.
Traffic police chief directed the traffic officials and officials to continue the uninterrupted operation against those who park vehicles in the nine parking zones in the city and encroachment mafia and that no one should be lenient.
He said that departmental action will be taken against those who show negligence.
