Traffic jams became normal on Nazi Town Square and Egyptian road. The patience of citizens against illegal extortion in Niazi Town Square began to respond, despite several complaints, the administration became a silent spectator. The area has been protesting strongly, saying that illegal stalls of fruits and vegetables set up on the road have paralyzed the entire area’s traffic system, where daily traffic jams have become normal.
According to the local citizens, many times, written and verbal complaints were given to the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board and concerned authorities, but with regret, no effective action has been seen yet.
Citizens say that if timely notice was taken, this problem would not have been so serious today.
Due to traffic jams, students, employees, patients and ordinary passengers are suffering daily, while the transportation of rescue vehicles is also severely affected in the emergency situation.
The area locals has demanded immediate notice from the high authorities, to determine responsible officers and to eliminate all illegal passages from Nazi town square so that citizens can get relief and traffic flow in the area is restored.
