PESHAWAR: A three-day training workshop on curbing anti-women propaganda with professional journalists was organized under the auspices of Individual Land, a non-governmental organization concluded here on Wednesday. The senior journalists of Peshawar and students of the Department of Journalism, University of Peshawar participated in the training workshop. The training programme covered how women are being portrayed in the mainstream media, online harassment, reporting on women, use of digital media for gender equality, framing of narratives in favor of women, negative propaganda against women. Islamabad based senior journalists, Myra Imran, Mehmal Sarfaraz and American Journalist Sherry Richardi gave detailed lectures on ways to mitigate the effects of propaganda and other related topics.
