Tribal people of erstwhile Fata welcome Federal Budget 2025-26

The tribal people and prominent politicians of erstwhile-Fata here Wednesday welcomed Federal Budget 2025-26 and termed it as per reflections and aspirations of tribesmen. They welcomed mega projects for erstwhile-Fata besides increasing increase in defense budget. Engr Shaukat Ullah, former Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from Bajaur district termed the budget pro poor and people friendly. He said maximum relief provided to all segments of the society in the budget.
Former member national assembly from Khyber tribal district, Shahg Gul Afridi termed increase in pensions and salaries of the Government employees was positive steps. He also welcomed reduction in the percentage of tax slabs from 5 percent to 2.5 percent, saying the reduction in the tax slabs percentage is a good step of the federal government in the budget. Hamza Khan, PMLN leader said that 10 percent increase in the salary and reduction in tax slabs will bring positive results in lives of employees.
He said that it will definitely help the employees manage their meals and other expenditures.
He thanked Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif for10 percent increase in the salaries of Govt employees.
The experts hailed increase in allocation of agriculture, PSDP, BISP and dams projects in the budget.
They said speedy release and disbursement of the budget allocation will expedite economic development.
