Tribesmen of Tirah valley protest in favour of demands

Residents initiated protest demonstration against restriction of movement of Non-Custom Paid (NCP) vehicles in Tirah valley of district Khyber on Monday.
Under the banner of Jirga Pakistan, scores of its workers carrying banner and placards inscribed with slogans in favor of their slogans took out peace and Tirah rights rally to Bara Bazaar where they commence sit-in and blocked the Pak-Afghan highway, Khyber square, Bara for all kind of movement.
Addressing to the angry mob the speakers including Jamaat-e-Islami youth chief Qazi Momin Afridi,convenior Jirga Pakistan Abid Afridi,Haji Sher Bahadar and others said that NCP automobiles were permitted to run on the road in other tribal districts while the authorities concerned had prohibited the vehicles to move from Tirah to Bara that was step mother behavior towards them. Because of terrible poverty, the people of the area could not afford legal documented vehicles therefore they had bought NCP cars to meet their transportation needs, they remarked.
Tirah was among those backward areas of the merged districts that had been worst affected by the militancy in the last one and half decade they added and said therefore residents of the valley deserved a special package of relief to be granted.
They demanded of the authorities to allow them to run their NCP vehicles in the width and length of the district Khyber.
The protesters threatened that they would not give up their protest till acceptance of their demand.
It is to be mentioned here that the security forces have restricted movement of NCP vehicles and have barricaded it Dwa Toai and Sheenkamar areas of Tirah valley.
