Tribute paid to Latif Lala on 2nd death anniversary

A ceremony was held here on Friday to pay tribute to renowned lawyer and former Supreme Court Bar Association president, Latif Lala, on the occasion of his second death anniversary.
The ceremony was organized by the Peshawar High Court under the auspices of the Latif Lala Foundation.
Prominent figures of the legal fraternity, including the president of Supreme Court Bar Association Advocate Rauf Atta, Peshawar High Court Bar President Advocate Fida Gul, Afar Syab Khattak, Danish Afridi Advocate, Qaiser Khan Lala Advocate, as well as leaders from various political parties, lawmakers, and citizens attended the ceremony.
Former DIG Akhtar Ali Shah senior anchor person and human right activist Muniza Jahangir, Provincial Ombudsman Rukhshand Naz Afarab Sayab Khattak, ILF senior representative Advocate Qazi Anwar also attended the anniversary.
Speakers paid glowing tribute to Latif Lala’s political and legal struggles, his commitment to social justice, and his efforts to raise awareness among the people through various political platforms.
They highlighted his unwavering stance against oppression and his lifelong dedication to public service.
The speakers maintained that late Latif Lala was known for taking on cases without charging a fee, advocating for the rights of the marginalized.
Speakers at the event called for a new social contract in Pakistan, urging progressive political forces to unite to address the country’s challenges and end systemic injustices.
