Tribute Paid to Prof. Dr Raj Wali Shah Khattak

ISLAMABAD(PR):Well known scholar and Chief Advisor RUH Forum Islamabad Prof. Zaid Gul presided over a literary-curn-intellectual session at the shrine of great Pashto poet and internationally recognized scholar Prof. Dr. Raj Wali Shah Khattak in Islamabad.
Mr. Zaid Gul paid tribute to Prof. Dr. Raj Wali Shah Khattak for his tremendous contribution in uplifting Pashto language and literature. While talking to the gathering he threw light on the various aspects of services rendered by Dr. Raj Wali Shah Khattak which included inculcation of his deep study on Tassauf (Mysticism) to the people interested in the subject.
According to Prof. Zaid Gul, Dr. Raj Wali Shah Khattak was a great hidden Sufi as well. He further added that it is the need of the time to transmit his teachings and thoughts to the new generation.
During the address he also shared with the gathering that ‘RUH Forum” is going to extend its branch in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) named as “Wali Forum” which will be partially independent however would be run under the umbrella of RUH Forum.
“ Wali Forum” would be governed under an independent board / committee on the analogy of RUH Forum and will similarly strive for the betterment of society through a chain of welfare activities .
He also stated that “ Wali Forum’ will not be confined to the thoughts and services of Prof. Dr. Raj Wali Shah Khattak only, the name is chosen because of the extra ordinary contributions and knowledge of Dr. Khattak however it will be a forum for all in the province.
People on the occasion highly appreciated the address and initiative of the leading scholar Prof. Zaid Gul and assured him of their full support. At the end Prof. Dr. Pervaiz Mahjoor Khweshki, Mr. Raham Zaman Khattak, Mr. Aqil Khan Afridi , Mr. Irfan Khalil, Dr Zia ur Rahman, Mr. Mushtaq Hussain Sabir Khattak, Mr. Irshad Rehan Khattak, Mr. Younas Khattak and Mr. Sharif Khattak Sabaoon ( who is currently carrying out research in Ph. D on Prof. Dr. Raj Wali Shah Khattak) also paid tributes to the great scholar in golden words. The session was attended by a large number of intellectuals from different corners .
