Two policemen were injured in a quadcopter strike on district police on Friday.
District police officials stated that a quadcopter strike of the terrorists has injured two police personnel.
They said that injured cops were immediately shifted to Khalifa Gul Nawaz (KGN) Hospital, where they were receiving treatment and reported to be out of danger.
Following the attack, on the instructions of DIG Bannu Region Sajjad Khan, a heavy contingent of Tathakhel Police, Aman Committee, and Bannu Police, supported by armored personnel carriers reached the area to conduct a search and clearance operation.
During the operation, the police successfully shot down a quadcopter used by the militants.
A police drone deployed in the operation played a crucial role, providing timely intelligence and proving more effective than earlier equipment.
Police said that several terrorists were injured during the counter-operation.
DIG Sajjad Khan personally visited KGN Hospital to check on the injured officers and directed doctors to provide the best possible treatment.
He emphasized that terrorist elements would face justice and that the morale of the police force remains high. “Such cowardly attacks will not weaken our resolve.
Operations will continue uninterrupted until law and order is fully restored,” he said.
