Two target killers arrested in Peshawar

Police claimed here on Monday to have arrested a two-member group of target killers in the limits of Shah Qabool Police Station.
Superintendent of Police (SP) City Division Tayab Jan told journalists that the arrest was made during a successful operation with a great strategy. He said that DSP City Gohar Khan and SHO Shah Qabool Qazi Nisar carried out the important operation under his supervision. The arrested persons have been identified as Asadullah and Sameer who are residents of tribal district Orakzai and Khyber respectively.
During the operation, police have also seized weapons and a motorcycle.
According to SP Tayyab Jan, the suspected target killers were planning to attack on Murtaza Ali Bangash, an engineer of X-ray machines and member of Shia community in Dabgari gardens area of Peshawar.
“The police foiled the plan by taking immediate action after receiving secret information and arrested the two suspected target killers with great strategy,” he said and added that the target killers had allegedly attacked the aforementioned person earlier this year in the limits of Chamkani Police Station and left him injured.
A case against the attackers was also registered in the same police station and an investigation was underway.
Mr Tayab Jan furthered that a case has been registered against the arrested persons and important revelations are expected from them during the investigation.
