Health minister Abdul Qadir Patel has said we will work on war footing for eradication of polio.
“ wherever the polio virus case resurfaces we will monitor the respective area and launch campaign therein, he said this while talking to media men during his visit to Polyclinic hospital Islamabad Saturday.
We have worked out plan for elimination of polio. We will place this plan in the meeting to be held under Prime Minister (PM) Shahbaz Sharif. We will work with full force for curbing polio scourge.
The statistics don’t match with the advertisement carried out in connection with Sehat Card, he said adding there are myriads of complaints about Sehat card.
Federal government only organizes Sehat card, he held. We will not take any step forthwith which leads to suspension of treatment process on Sehat card, he announced.
We are collecting statistics as to how much money was spent on advertisement of Sehat card and and how much on people, he stated. This is also being seen how many people benefitted from such robust amount.
Decision has been taken to review Medical Institutions Reforms law in hospitals, he revealed. MTI law after having been reviewed will be presented to Prime Minister in federal cabinet, he added.
He indicated the medicines have become costlier 300 percent to 400 hundred percent, It will be our endeavor to scale down the prices of medicines, he added.
