ISLAMABAD: The weekly report registered an increase in inflation by 0.29 percent, bringing the country’s overall inflation rate to 29.4 percent on Friday. According to the weekly report released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), the prices of vegetables – tomatoes, onions -, sugar and 17 basic commodities have been raised. Within a week, the price of tomatoes saw a whooping rise of Rs48.45 per kg, while the price of onions increased by Rs12.69. The price of sugar also saw a massive increase of Rs57 per kilogram.
