Attorney General (AG) Mansoor Usman has said if parliament forbids to provide funds then how can the government provide.
He reached Supreme Court (SC) forthwith after consultation with Prime Minister (PM) Shahbaz Sharif on in-chamber hearing regarding election funds on Friday.
In his informal talk with the media he said parliament has forbidden the government to release funds. Now federal government has no powers to release funds for election.
He said on the occasion when parliament has forbidden government then how can government provide funds.
