WSCCK organises seminar on eve of World Environment Day

Water and Sanitation Services Company Kohat (WSSCK) organized a seminar on the eve of International Environment Day at Preston University Kohat on Monday.
It is noted here that World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5 each year to draw attention to environmental issues.
This year’s World Environment Day theme is ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’ to refocus attention on solutions to plastic pollution
Key-note speakers on the occasion highlighted the significance of World Environment Day and delivered lectures on the theme of ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’.
Besides, WSSCK Manager Operations Shehbaz Khattak, Manager Media and Communication of the company Asma Ali, Assistant Manager Solid Waste Management Ammad Bangash, Chief Sanitary Inspector Muhammad Sohail, Gender Coordinator Shela Gul, KPCIP staff, Director of Preston University Dr Aon Abbas, Aqil Amin Khattak, Hamid Gul, a large number of the varsity’s faculty members, both male and female students were participated in the seminar.
Asma Ali, Manager Media and Communication of the WSSCK briefed the participants about working and performance of her institute.
Ammad Bangash, Assistant Manager Solid Waste Manager of the company expressed his views on the theme of World Environment Day “Beat Plastic Pollution’, stressing the need for minimum consumption of plastic to make the environment pollution free.
Dr Aon Abbas, Director Preston University while speaking on the occasion said that time has come that all institutions should work together and take concrete initiatives to safe environment from pollution, because we are already facing global warming issues.
At the end, Manager Operations, WSSCK Shehbaz Khattak responded to various queries raised by participants of the seminar.
