WSSCK organises awareness seminar on World Water Day

Water and Sanitation Service Company Kohat (WSSCK) in collaboration with the department of Environmental Sciences, Kohat University of Science and Information Technology organized an awareness seminar on the eve of World Water Day here on Friday.
The seminar was attended by chief executive officer of the WSSCK Arif Rauf, Deputy Manager Tahir Afif, Department of Environmental Sciences, KUST, Assistant professor Muhammad Waqas, PMU KPCIP Director Gender Menhaz Iftikhar, Director Programs and Operation Ahtesham Abbas, Infrastructure Engr Zafarullah Orakzai, Manager Media and Communications Asma Ali along with a large number of male and female students.
Arif Rauf, CEO WSSCK while speaking at seminar said youth is the future of our country and a precious asset, which will lead and to take concrete steps for resolving water related issues.
Muhammad Waqas, faculty members KUST on the occasion highlighted significance of the International Water Day, stating that time has come to tackle with water issues by utilizing it in disciplined manner
He called for prevention of wastage of water to fully benefit the coming generations from this blessing and unique gift of nature.
Menhaz, Director Gender KPCIP enlightened students and graduates of Kohat for the upcoming scholarship program with support of Asian Development Bank (ADB), under which female graduates of Kohat will be able to complete their MS degree in various subjects from abroad on fully funded scholarship.
Tahir Afif and Zafarullah Orkazai informed the students participating in the seminar in detail about the work and scope of WSSCK.
The students were specially informed about KPCIP.
It was informed that after the completion of the projects, the water problems in Kohat city will be completely eliminated.
At the end of the seminar, the speakers were awarded with commemorative shields.
On the occasion of World Water Day, the participants of the event reiterated to be utilized water in disciplined manner
They expressed full commitment to educate the entire community about this precious gift of nature so that our future generations will take full benefits from this blessing.
