Addressing a gathering of alumni of Women University Swabi, organised by the Alumni Committee, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Shahana Urooj Kazmi, laid great emphasis on the role of women in the development and progress of the society.
“Which is why,” the Vice Chancellor announced amdist huge applause, “she has established the WUS Alumni Business Incubation Centre.” It was the first ever alumni gathering of the University for the organisation of which the Vice Chancellor has constituted special Committee. Expressing her firm belief in gender equality, the Vice Chancellor added that Women could thrive in all walks of life if provided right education and equal opportunities.
The Vice Chancellor freely interacted with the Alumni and encouraged them to strive hard to achieve succes and accomplish their goals. Meanwhile, several ex-students addressed the gathering and shared their experiences with current students of the University.
They lauded the efforts of the Vice Chancellor for the betterment of University and society at large and thanked her for providing them a platform for sharing experiences and opportunit to improve their skills and realise their potential.
In addition to the Alumni, faculty members of the University also participated in the event and appreciated it.
Participants were also entertained with traditional music and poetry.
