Year after worst power breakdown in country’s history, investigation complete

The investigation into the worst power breakdown in the country’s history has been completed after one year.
The bureaucracy saved the senior officers by putting the responsibility of the loss of billions of rupees on the junior officers.
According to the documents found online, the investigation of the largest power breakdown in the history of the country has been completed on January 23, 2023.
In its report, the investigative committee blamed the loss of more than 80 billion rupees on three junior officers.
Under this, 2 deputy managers, one shift in charge and one manager power control center have been made a scapegoat while the members of the investigation committee have been saved for the power break down on January 23, 2023. The original responsible officers have been saved.
According to the report, Deputy MD System Operations Ali Zain resigned to avoid action and as per the SOPs, Deputy MD Ali Zain was primarily responsible for the power control system across the country.
The report further states that during the investigation it has also been revealed that the electricity transmission system worth 3 thousand billion rupees is running without SOPs.
It should be remembered that on January 23, 2023, Pakistan was shocked by a 20-hour long power breakdown and the then federal cabinet took notice and directed strict action against those responsible.
