Young generation needs to aware importance of mother tongue: Ejaz Alam

Provincial Minister for Human Rights and Minority Affairs Ejaz Alam Augustine has said that special proposals would be made at the government level to include Punjabi language in the curriculum like Sindhi and Pashto, for this all possible steps will be taken.
He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony in connection with mother tongue day in the auditorium of Unique Group of Institutions. He said it was unfortunate that Punjabi speakers were reluctant to speak their own language. We all have to try our best to learn and speak our mother tongue.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Unique Group of Institutions Prof. Abdul Manan Khurram said that Punjabi is a language full of sweetness and we have to take steps for its promotion.
He said that the mother tongue should not feel ashamed in speaking as it is the identity of our culture and traditions. We have to strive for the promotion of language.
Speaking on the occasion, women leader Saeeda Deep said that public representatives have to play a special role for the promotion of Punjabi language and in this regard public representatives have to raise their voice in the Assembly.
Speaking on the occasion, Punjabi radio broadcaster Masood Malhi said that Punjabi language is flourishing in Canada, Australia and other developing countries but we have not taken any steps in this regard.
The event was attended by Vice Chairman Unique Group Afif Ashraf Siddiqui, Director Unique Group Prof. Wasim Anwar Chaudhry, Vice Principal R&D Prof. Riaz-ul-Haq and a large number of teachers and students.
