PESHAWAR: Advisor to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tourism and Culture, Zahid Chanzeb has stated that dishonesty and embezzlement in the financial system hollow out the public treasury. It is crucial to operate according to government policy in financial activities to benefit the national exchequer. He made these remarks during a surprise visit to the Nishtar Hall Complex and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPC&TA). Regarding the booking of the Nishtar Hall Complex, the Advisor for Tourism and Culture issued clear directives, stating that all payments should be received in advance and only through the designated bank account, and no handwritten challan will be acceptable. He directed that clear boards in Urdu and English languages be displayed at the entrance of the hall, clearly stating the rental charges and payment terms to ensure complete transparency. During the visit, Zahid Chanzeb inspected various sections of the offices and expressed serious concern over the absence of several officers and staff members during duty hours. DLP Report
