Former President and PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has said that a democratic approach is first step towards a civilized society, adding that dictatorship creates dread, which spreads extremism.
In his message on world democracy day, former President said that democracy pledges national security and ensures our existence as a society.
He said that democratic approach is the first step towards a civilized society and in order to strengthen democracy, we must adopt this approach.
Zardari was of the view that 18th constitutional amendment was a major ‘victory of democracy’, that empowered parliament.
