The Medicam Group of Companies will continue its cooperation with the Regional Cricket Association Karachi for promoting cricket at the Grass Root Level in Karachi said Zafar Riaz Bari, The Chief Guest, Director Administration and External Affairs, Medicam Group of Companies Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Medicam Trophy Under-19 Inter-Zonal Cricket Tournament organized by the Regional Cricket Association and Sponsored by Medicam Group of Companies.
On this occasion, Azam Khan, Coordinator RCAK, said in his emotional speech that despite all opposition, I will continue to work for cricket promotion under Nadeem Omar leadership in Karachi. He congratulated to Khalid Nafees Chairman Tournament Committee for Organizing Successful Tournament and Zone-III on winning the tournament.
Khalid Nafees, Chairman of the Tournament Committee, said in his speech that under Nadeem Omar leadership, they will continue to work for cricket promotion in Karachi despite all difficulties.
Tournament Secretary Mohammad Tauseef Siddiqui presented the tournament report and thanked Khalil Ahmad Nanitalwala Junaid Khalil Nanitalwala, Javed Kiani and tfor Sponsoring RCAK Talent Hunt Program, He also thanked All the Zonal Officials for their full Cooperation and support.
Earlier, in the final, Zone-III Whites defeated Zone-VI Whites by 23 runs to win these tournament. Zone-III Whites 204/7 in 40 Overs. Imran Khan 65 6×4 2×6, Salman Sarwar 513×4 2×6, Bilal Aqeel 30, Mohammad Hassan 27. Abdullah Javed 2/29, Hammad Alam 2/42.
In reply, Zone-VI Whites allout 181/9 in 40 overs. Abdullah Javed 41, S.M Ali 30, Mohammad Azaan 24, Saad Sakhavat 22, and Abdul Sami 19. Salman Sarwar 3/27, Akhtar Ali 3/36.
At the end of the tournament, the Chief Guest awarded the winner Trophy to Salman Sarwar, captain of Zone-III Whites, and the runner-up Trophy to Saad Sakhavat, captain of Zone-VI Whites. Awards also given to Best Batsman Mohammad Azaan Zone VI Whites, Best Bowler: Uzair Khan Zone- VII,Best Fielder Waqas Afridi Zone Blues-V Blues, Man of the Final Match and Best All-rounder Salman Sarwar Captain Zone-III Whites,
