The provincial election commissioner, Shamshad Khan, here on Wednesday said that 12 candidates are in the run for by-election in PK-22 Bajaur for which all arrangements were finalised.
In a statement issued here, he said that 12 candidates will contest by-election in the tribal district Bajaur PK-22. According to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) by-election for the constituency to be held on July 11,2024.
Director Elections Asif Ali Yasin, Director IT Abdul Qadir, Deputy Director Falak Naz, Deputy Director Muhammad Anwar Zeib, Deputy Director Asif Khan Khattak, Deputy Director Zaheer Ahmad Sohithu, Spokesperson Provincial Election Commissioner Sohail Ahmed and Dahgar officers participated in the meeting chaired by the provincial election commissioner.
On this occasion, the provincial election commissioner Provincial Election Commissioner Shamshad Khan was given a detailed briefing on the preparations.
During the briefing, it was informed that in PK 22 Bajaur, Rahatullah from Sunni Unity Council, Saddam Hussain from Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Abid Khan from Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Abdullah from PPP Parliamentarian, Muhammad Nisar from Awami National Party, 7 independent candidates will participate. have been.
Training of DR, RO and DMO and MO has already been completed. The training of polling staff will be completed from July 1 to July 7.
In total, more than 179000 voters will exercise their right to vote.
The number of male voters in this constituency is 99038 while the number of female voters is 79972.
Complaints will be redressed by establishing a control room in the office of Provincial Election Commissioner Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
