PESHAWAR: Teacher Association Khyber Girls Medical College and Medical Teaching Institute Hayatabad Medical Complex have strongly condemned the arrest of professor doctor Zulfiqar, an ophthalmologist and teacher at Ayub medical complex abbottabad. In a statement the president of association Dr Shahsawar and General Secretary Dr Muhammad Shah expressed deep grief and sorrow over the incident where an innocent teacher was manhandled by the police. It added that after a departmental enquiry professor zulfiqar was not directly responsible for the incident and a batch of spurious injection avastin which was purchased by hospital pharmacy led to the unfortunate incident. The Shahsawar demanded the provincial government and concerned authorities to immediately release the professor Dr Zulfiqar. DLP Report
The representatives further demanded that the BOGS and administration of Ayub Medical Complex shall make every effort to provide legal assistance to Dr Zulfiqar and his family to release him with honor.
The association stands firmly with prof Zulfiqar and will do every effort to safeguard the legitimate rights of teachers and doctors across the province, said the statement.
