The Nation commemorated nuclear tests on Saturday, conducted by Pakistan on 28th of May 1998.
The Youm-e-Takbeer was observed with national zeal and reaffirmed to safeguard the sovereignty of Pakistan.
In this connection a gathering was organized in Landi Kotal press club that was attended by officer bearers Pakistan Muslim League, Nawaz (PML-N)Landi Kotal chapter and general workers.
Speaking on the occasion President PML-N, Landi Kotal Qazi Mohib Afridi, General Sectary Nadeem Shinwari and others said that it was the courageous decision of their leader, Nawaz Shrief that shun the international pressure and became first Muslim nuclear power.
With conducting of nuclear tests not only rejected India supremacy but also made Pakistan defense strong and secure, they added.
They paid tribute to the scientists, engineers and technicians, contributed to the security of the country.
At the end they cut the cake to mark the historic Day, Youm-e-Takbeer.
