The police claimed to have arrested two members of the interprovincial weapons smugglers racket and seized seized 20 pistols, 4 rifles, 12 bore and hundreds of different bore cartridges from thier possession in the jurisdiction of Badaber Police Station.
Wajid Ali, SHO Badaber Police Station, said that attempt was made to smuggle weapons to Punjab Peshawar in a truck,adding the vehicle used for smuggling was also taken into custody.
Police have registered a case against the suspects and started investigation from different angles.
The arrested accused have been identified as Syed Ullah Jan and Fazal e Subhan hailing from Zangali area of Peshawar.
