7 suspects of a robber gang held in joint action

Chamkani Police in a joint operation with Shahpur Police Station held seven suspects robbers who were allegedly involved in different cases of snatchings, said a handout. According to details, a special team consisting of SHO Shahpur Imran-ud-Din and SHO Chamkani Ahmadullah headed by DSP Chamkani Luqman Khan was formed after complaints of snatching motorcycles and mobile phones.
The special team continued its investigation on modern scientific lines, including interrogation of several suspects and criminals, and also closely monitored those released from prisons.
The special team tracked down the dangerous group active in Northern Bypass, Chamkani and adjoining areas. Police during the action arrested suspects identified as Mohammad Gul Zahid, Junaid, Usman, Jamil, Daud, and Ahmad.
Police claimed to have recovered Valuable mobile phones snatched including selling at exorbitant prices Neighboring Afghanistan.
Police preliminary investigation said that the suspects have confessed to several incidents.
A total of seven snatched motorcycles and 25 mobile phones, including weapons used in various incidents were also seized by the police.
Several motorcycle parts have also been recovered from their possession and further important revelations are expected during the investigation.
